CDC should know that not all jobs require Bachelor Degrees, furthermore let them know that those who have Diplomas/Higher Dip are far better than this degree holders who do not have vast experience but are just after pay.The CDC should give the opportunity so that we face this people in interview. Some of this degree holders just cheat in exam but does not have experience.

Hi, Jemmi don't be bitter. The graduates have not commited any offence to have gone that far. Similarly, wth your Dip/Higher Dip there is nothing wrong with you. I would only advise that if an employer tends to prefer a given group, it is better to upgrade other than lament.

George,
Simply put..well put.

Jemmy, Just do exactly that.

Wish you well

THE GRADUATES TEND NOT TO DELIVER AS THEY ARE FULL OF THEORY THAN PRACTICAL. I SINCERELY FEEL THAT THOSE WHO HAVE DIPLOMAS AND HIGHER DIPLOMAS HAVE EQUAL CAPACITY TO PERFORM BASED ON THE VENUE, POSITION AND ENVIRONMENT OF PREVIOUS WORK STATION.

In this erra of parrallel degrees, its becoming seemingly obvious that degrees of today doesnt hold value anymore. For instance somebody who performed obviously poor gets into campus on basis of parrallel degree and buys his way out is valued more than a certificate or diploma graduate. Let this people face on in an open interview and from there pick the best! You will be surprised.

Hei! it is not an issues of having or not having a degree or whatever. The issue is how artistic are you able to utilize your interlectual skills of which personality is part and parcel of the skills and not just academic credentials.THINK AROUND THE BOX NOT JUST THE INSIDE AND OUTSIDE!

well having a diploma or higher dip is the road to finally getting a degree my main issue is that people should be employed on merit and not because one has a god father working with cdc please give everyone a chance cdc is known for advertising for formality yet they employ people only known to them. please give all kenyans a chance. NOBERT,
HI GUYS,WHAT IS THE NOISE FOR?HOW MANY HAVE THE DEGREES,MASTERS,DIPS AND HIGH DIPS BUT ARE STILL HUSTLING?MANY.SIMPLY APPLY WHERE YOU QUALIFY THEN WAIT FOR SHORT LISTING AND WHEN SUMMONED FOR THE INTERVIEW MAN GO DO YOUR THING.YOU NEVER KNOW.

Before jobs are advertised the HR department looks at the particular skill set required for the job. If they feel that it is a degree holder who will be the best bet for the job then that is what they will go for. To claim that CDC advertises jobs as a formality is a lie. I worked for CDC for 2 years and when I applied I did not know anyone there. I went for the interview and was selected. Besides CDC also advertises for positions that require a dip/Higher Dip and once they do so you can apply. To claim that degree holders are theoretical is a lie because of all the jobs I have gotten, I have had 3 or six months probation to prove that I am qualified enough for the job. If there are cheaters in classes offering degrees then there are also cheaters in diploma classes. It is difficult finding a job and one can get frustrated and blame it on others, please be patient and sell yourself well and apply for a job even if you do not have that degree. I landed a job in an international agency that required a masters and I did not have one at the time. I ended up getting the job even though I was the only one with a bachelors degree amongst the shortlisted candidates
