HEAD OF AUDIT

Key Responsibility:
Reporting to the Board of Directors and working closely with the CEO, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing an independent and objective assurance to the Board of Directors on the system of internal control within the Bank.

Main tasks:

  • To review, evaluate and report whether laid down policies and procedures are adequate to safeguard the assets of the Bank and to protect the interests of the shareholders
  • To review and report whether the Bank's operations are conducted in accordance with the Bank's statutes and in compliance with the policies and procedures approved by the Board of Directors, Management and the prudential guidelines
  • To establish and maintain policies, standards and guidelines specific to the effective discharge of roles and responsibilities of the internal audit function
  • To assess risks to the Bank through use of Risk Assessment Matrix with a focus on threats to existing operations and profitability
Qualifications, skills and experience required:
  • A degree holder from a recognized university
  • A chartered accountant and a member of ICPAK
  • CIA and CISA qualifications will be an added advantage
  • 10 years experience in audit with at least 3-5 years spent in a financial institution
  • Good interpersonal, communication, management and leadership skills are necessary
CREDIT ADMINISTRATION MANAGER

Key Responsibility:
Reporting to the Head of Credit the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the Credit Administration function within Credit Department.

Main tasks:
  • To liaise with legal department in handling all credit related legal matters, security documentation and agreements, and safe custody of all security documentation
  • To oversee the maintenance of a comprehensive diary system on the follow up of all credit compliance issues, returns and actioning of reports
  • • To manage and monitor the Bank's loan portfolio, including non performing assets
  • To ensure that all the credit support functions are handled effectively and efficiently in the management and minimization of credit risk
Qualifications, skills and experience required:
  • A degree holder in Banking and Finance or a related field,accountancy and banking qualifications are an added advantage
  • Organised, assertive with keen attention to detail Skilled in computer software usage
  • At least 5 years experience in the Credit Administration role in a financial institution
MANAGER, PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT (HOUSING)

Key Responsibility:
This position reports to the General Manager/Business, responsible for developing and growing the housing products portfolio by creatively and effectively matching such products/services with customer needs

Main tasks:
• To develop, launch and manage mortgage and other housing related products
• To conduct market research, develop features, finalize legal agreements and plan product launch campaigns
• To conduct training programmes for personnel
• To provide strategic guidance and vision for achieving business objectives
• To establish and maintain effective MIS

Qualifications, skills and experience required:
• Graduate in a business related field of study
• Demonstrable evidence of experience in developing housing and related products
• Strong analytical, communication and team working capabilities
• Experience in implementation and management of market research activities

AREA SALES MANAGER

Key Responsibility:
Reporting to the Head of Liabilities and Branch Expansion the successful candidate will be responsible for driving growth of deposits for the whole Bank.

Main tasks
  • To develop a practical sales strategy for the Bank to achieve its deposits targets
  • Participate in drawing the liabilities budget especially as regards deposits mobilisation as set in the Business Plan
  • To lead a large team of Direct Sales Representatives and motivate, mentor, coach and inspire them to achieve set targets and sustain high performance
  • To ensure strong relations are built and maintained with the Bank's depositors
Qualifications, skills and experience required;
  • A degree holder in Business related field
  • At least S years proven track record in driving sales in an FMCG setting coupled with exposure in channel marketing across multiple routes to market
  • Demonstrable evidence of experience in managing or promoting sales campaigns
  • Skills in computer applications are necessary
  • Exposure working in banking, while not mandatory, would be an added advantage
