We therefore seek to recruit highly qualified and experienced individuals to fill the following positions:-

1. BRANCH MANAGERS / BUSINESS GROWTH & DEVELOPMENT MANAGERS

The role holder will be in charge of the overall leadership of a branch. He/she will be expected to aggressively drive the branch growth and profitability targets by identifying, developing and maintaining relationships with customers as well as providing leadership to the branch staff.

Candidate's Profile and Qualifications
  • Over 5 years working experience in Banking, 3 of which must have been at management level
  • Holder of Business related degree from a recognized University or diploma holders with 3 years working experience as operations manager in a Commercial Bank.
  • Experience in leading and managing teams
  • Holders of banking professional qualifications such as ACIB orAKIB and working experience in a multicultural environment will have an added advantage
Key Responsibilities
  • Mobilize deposits to exceed branch targets
  • Budget planning, control and evaluation for the Branch Champion customer service provision at the Branch level
  • Promote the Bank's corporate image at the Branch level
  • Build and develop high performing team through embedding performance development and coaching
  • Understand and provide clear direction to the branch based on market analysis and local area customer trends and competitor offering
Desired Knowledge, Skills and Ability

Thorough understanding of the Banking industry Good knowledge of Southern Sudan, its people, culture, business environment and government regulations Proven leadership skills Excellent customer service skills Strong communication and negotiation skills Team player with excellent interpersonal skills Good working knowledge of MS office suite

2. OPERATIONS MANAGERS

Reporting to the Branch manager/Business Growth & Development Manager, the role holder will be in charge of the Branch Operations and ensure that the Bank 's Processes and Procedures are adhered to; management of cash and provide leadership on all operational issues at the branch.

Candidate's Profile and Qualifications
  • Holder of Business related degree from a recognized university
  • Over 3 years working experience in the Banking sector, of which 2 years must have been at management level
  • Experience in leading and managing teams.
  • Holders of banking professional qualifications such as ACIB/AKIB will have an added advantage
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership at the Branch level on all Operation issues
  • Ensure compliance to the Bank's policies and procedures Cash management
Desired Knowledge, Skills and Ability
  • Thorough understanding of the bank operations
  • Proven leadership skills
  • Good analytical skills
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Team player with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Good working knowledge of MS office suite
3. CREDIT MANAGERS

Reporting to the Branch Manager/Business Growth & Development Manager, the position will be responsible for the day today co¬ordination of the credit function at branch level, while ensuring high customer service standards are maintained and 100% compliance to the Bank's lending policy.

Candidate's Profile and Qualifications
  • Holder of a degree from a recognized University
  • Over 3 years working experience in Credit/Lending in banking sector at management level
  • Holders of ACIB, ACCAs or AKIB will have an added advantage
Key Responsibilities
  • Growing high quality asset portfolio in the branch
  • Review of existing business facilities
  • Management of portfolio by monitoring adherence to set conditions of sanction
  • Ensure compliance to the Bank's lending policy
  • Ensure that all securities/collateral are perfected, recorded and maintained
  • Prepare, analyze and submit credit reports and prudential returns as required
  • Chair the credit committee at the Branch level
Desired Knowledge, Skills and Ability
  • Good understanding of the banking industry
  • Excellent analytical skills to interpret and evaluate financial statements
  • Excellent leadership skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Team player with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Working knowledge of financial spreadsheet applications such as Excel
MARKETING MANAGERS

Reporting to the Branch Manager/Business Growth & Development Manager, the position would be responsible for marketing, selling and cross selling of Bank products within assigned territory.

Candidate's Profile and Qualifications
  • A University degree in Business related field from a recognized university but preferably in marketing
  • Over 3 years working experience in Sales, Marketing, Brand Management or Relationship management at management level
  • Those with experience in Banking environment and Marketing qualifications such CIM will have an added advantage
Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all sales activities at the Branch level with an emphasis on growing core deposits within the assigned territory and also ensure cross selling of Bank products.
  • Advise Customers on forthcoming product developments and discussing special promotions
  • Responsible for training and ongoing sales skill development at Branch level
  • Promote the Bank as an industry leader in providing banking solutions
  • Champion customer delight at the Branch level
  • Safeguard and promote the Bank's image
Desired Knowledge, Skills and Ability
  • Thorough knowledge of Bank's products and services
  • Ability to work within a rapidly moving and changing work environment
  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrable evidence of experience in managing or promoting sales campaigns
  • Passion for customer service
  • Team player
  • Good working knowledge of MS office suite
FINANCE MANAGER

Reporting to the General Manager-Sudan, the position will be responsible for providing financial advice and support to Branches in Sothern Sudan, collection and preparation of accounts, cost management and budgetary controls.

Candidate's Profile and Qualifications
  • A degree in Finance or Accounting from a recognized university
  • ACCA finalist or CPA (K)
  • Over 5 years relevant working experience in Banking, of which 2 yrs must have been at management level
  • Proven track record of strong financial reporting for inter-companies and consolidated accounts
Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure adherence to Financial and Accounting policies and procedures
  • Provision and interpretation of financial information
  • Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities
  • Ensure all internal and external financial regulations are well complied with
  • Ensure all statutory and regulatory reports are correct and submitted in a timely manner
  • Oversee budgetary controls
  • Liaise with external auditors and consultants regarding accounting issues
  • Ensure that the Management is well informed about the key financial indicators of the branches in Southern Sudan
  • Liaise with various government bodies, on all tax, accounting and reporting requirements
Desired Knowledge, Skills and Ability
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting standards
  • Excellent financial analytical and interpretation skills
  • Good knowledge on budgeting and controls
  • Ability to work within a rapidly moving and changing work environment
  • Strong communication and presentation skills

  • Working knowledge of financial spreadsheet applications such as Excel
6. BANK CLERKS

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the position will be responsible for Customer Service, Cashiering and back office operations

Candidate's Profile and Qualifications
  • MUST be Sudanese Nationals
  • O level qualification-C+and above or Division II
  • Applicants with degrees, diplomas or working experience in Banking will have an added advantage
Responsibilities
  • Ensuring excellent customer service at the branch Cashiering
  • Handling of back office operations

  • General understanding of the banking industry

  • Strong analytical skills
  • Team player with excellent interpersonal skills
These Jobs are open to Sudanese nationals. However, Kenyan nationals with over 2 years working experience in Southern Sudan especially in Banking may apply.
