Chief Quality Assurance Officer
(Ref: No. 020/2009)

Reporting to the Managing Director the successful candidate will be responsible for-

  • Ensuring that the Company products are fit for purpose and meet both external and internal requirements including legal compliance and customer expectations.
  • Co-ordinating all matters relating to the quality of Company products.
  • Undertake seed testing and variety verification.
  • Establish linkages for collaboration with various local and international organizations of relevance e.g. KEPHIS, ISTA etc.
  • To implement internal Quality Assurance Programmes.
  • Promote Quality Achievements and Performance Improvement throughout the organization.
  • Ensure Compliance with National and International Seed Quality Standards and Legislation.
Qualifications & Experience
  • A Bachelors Degree in Seed Technology or equivalent from a recognized University.
  • An MSc. Degree in plant related disciplines.
  • Be computer literate.
  • At least 6 years experience in a busy commercial and for manufacturing organization.
  • At least 35 years old.
Senior Quality Assurance Officer

Reporting to the Chief Quality Assurance Officer the successful candidate wilt assist in :-
  • Advising on the quality and appropriateness of all seeds for export and import as may be required from time to time.
  • Undertaking seed testing and variety verification.
  • Supervision of Company Warehouses and Agents/ Sub-agents/Stockists Stores to attain maximum store hygiene.
  • Setting up and maintaining Controls and Documentation Procedures.
  • Supervising Technical Staff in carrying out tests and checks.
Qualifications & Experience
  • A Bachelors Degree in Seed Technology or equivalent from a recognized University.
  • Possession of relevant post-graduate qualification will be an added advantage.
  • Be computer literate.
  • At least 4 years experience in a busy commercial and/or manufacturing organization.
  • At least 28 years old.
Senior Public Relations Officer

Reporting to the Chief Public Relations Officer, the successful candidate will be responsible for:-
  • Production of the Company's Publicity Materials such as brochures, newsletters, documentaries and photography.
  • Developing and maintaining a good working relationship with the Media and other Stakeholders.
  • Speech writing.
  • Organizing and coordinating of corporate events, exhibitions and Company's participation in Trade Fairs.
Qualifications & Experience
  • A Bachelors Degree in Mass Communication.
  • or a Bachelor's Degree in Social Science Discipline and a Post-graduate Diploma in Mass Communication.
  • Be Computer literate,

Reporting to the Chief Internal Auditor, the successful candidate will be responsible for
  • Providing effective audit services to the Company by advising Management through the Chief Internal Auditor on the quality of Company operations and Internal Control Systems.
  • Carrying out internal audit assignments to ensure compliance with approved management policies, procedures and controls.
  • Carrying out special audit assignments and investigations as directed.
  • Participating in the audit of Annual draft Financial Statements.
Qualifications & Experience
  • A Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics from a recognized University.
  • CPA (K) or an equivalent professional qualification.
  • At least 5 years relevant experience in a busy commercial and/or manufacturing organization or in a reputable Private Audit Firm.

Internal Auditor I

Reporting to the Senior Internal Auditor, the successful candidate will assist in
  • Review of accounting and operational policies, systems and procedures for effectiveness.
  • Review and advise on adequate internal controls in the system, including IT security.
  • Conduct internal audit of all operations and submit reports and recommendations.
  • Participate in special audit assignments and investigations.
Qualifications & Experience
  • A Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics from a recognized University.
  • CPA II or equivalent.
  • At least 4 years relevant experience in a busy commercial and/or manufacturing organization.

Senior Accountant

Reporting to the Chief Accountant, the successful candidate will be responsible for-
  • Supervising and guiding staff under them on day to day processing of accounting transactions.
  • Preparation of financial statements
  • Ensuring transactions are posted to the relevant ledgers on a daily basis
  • Liaise with internal and external auditors on all audit issues including implementation of audit recommendations.
  • Preparing financial reports within the stipulated timelines.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Applicants must possess B.Com (Accounting Option)
  • Or an equivalent Business related degree from a recognized university
  • Must have CPA (K) or equivalent.

Reporting to the Senior Accountant the successful candidates will assist in :-

  • Preparation of Financial statements.
Qualifications & Experience

Reporting to the General Manager-Nairobi, the successful candidate will:-
  • Manage and co-ordinate promotional activities for the Company
  • Identify, analyze, initiate and recommend for implementation new strategic business opportunities in the Eastern Africa Region.
  • Identify superior products for promotion in the various market segments.
  • Responsible for gathering market intelligence and developing short term and long term market strategies.

Sales Representatives

Reporting to the Sales and Marketing Manager, the Sales Representatives will be responsible for:
  • Administration and supervisory functions of the sales outlets.
  • Provision of effective and efficient sales support through dissemination of technical product information to farmers.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Applicants must have a degree in Agriculture, Agri-business or Horticulture.
  • Must have business acumen, creative, and self motivated. Should have good oral and written communication skills.
  • Have at least 5 years experience in product promotion, marketing and selling fast moving consumer goods in a vibrant agricultural related field.
  • Must be computer literate.
  • Must have a clean driving licence with at least 5 years driving experience.
  • Be at least 30 years old.
Terms of Appointment

The positions are on Permanent and Pensionable Terms of Employment. An attractive salary commensurate with responsibilities for each position would be payable.
