LG Electronics Nairobi Liaison Office, the regional office for LG Electronics Inc. with its HQ in Seoul, South Korea is looking for the following individual to enhance its operations in 11 African countries under its jurisdiction.
Position: Field Test Engineer (1 position)
Qualifications:
- Degree in Telecommunication, Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
- Strong ability in analysis, troubleshooting and problem solving.
- Knowledge of GSM-UMTS/CDMA Networks
- Knowledge of Mobile applications infrastructure (WAP, JAVA, Mobile Music)
- Familiarity with LG mobile phone products / platform is a plus.
- Previous experience in the field test of mobile phones
- Technology skills geared around mobile handsets
- You must have a competent level of presentation, communication and planning skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Computer literate with good organization abilities
Responsibilities:
Working as a Field Test Engineer the jobs main purpose is quality assurance testing in real network environment for end users and conducting field test (Radio and Audio performance test, Software verification) on new mobile handsets (GPRS, EDGE, 3G,UMTS) and Accessories (Bluetooth headset, hands-free, GPS).

- Test Case Development and Implementation
- Trouble shooting and Support
- Investigating issues and problems
- Raising errors and testing fixes
- Maintaining test specifications
- Supporting colleagues within the global test team
