Brief Description

Identify Aviation Security Training needs and the follow-up on the performance of operational airline staff in line with their AVSEC roles and capability improvement needs to enable the provision of development solutions to meet them and ensure full implementation and enforcement of security systems & procedures to provide a safe and secure environment for business operations.

Detailed Description
  • In liaison with Head of Security Services and Head of Learning and Development, responsible for ensuring that all staff receive appropriate training to enable them work in accordance with the requirements of ICAO annex 17, IATA and other statutory regulations
  • Monitor, evaluate and review impact /contribution of security training programmes on employee performance and effect appropriate changes as and when necessary
  • In liaison with the Head of Learning and Development and the Head of Security Services project and program security staff for training
  • Anticipate, understand and resolve performance and capability improvement needs in the company’s provision of safeguarding our customers, employees and facilities against acts of unlawful interference.
  • Monitor, evaluate and review impact /contribution of security training programmes on employee performance and effect appropriate changes as and when necessary
  • Work with HR colleagues, Functional Directors and line managers to identify technical and professional capability and development needs.
  • Assist the function to diagnose specific capability, competence and skills gaps and enable the design and delivery of learning and development solutions to close them
  • Lead the definition of technical and professional competences, competence levels and pre- and post appointment training requirements and ensure they are included in role profiles and within the learning management system
  • Ensure the addition of behavioural competences, competence levels and training requirements to role profiles
  • Ensure that regulatory training and certification of competence is addressed to meet role requirements and internal and external audit standards
  • Establish and develop a team of learning and development specialists with the capability to diagnose, design, deliver and evaluate learning in line with functional needs
  • Ensure the availability of external learning and development specialists so that there is adequate flexibility and expertise

  • Evidence of experience in Aviation Security Training
  • ICAO accredited in Aviation Security Training
  • Knowledge of Aviation Security issues and Airport Security Services
  • University Graduate in Social Sciences or equivalent.
  • 5 years of relevant experience
