Relationship Manager, Project Finance Job Vacancy: Housing Finance

Housing Finance, the leading mortgage finance provider is seeking to fill the above position with a suitably qualified, self-driven and results oriented person with a commitment to results and performance excellence.

Reporting to the Senior Manager Project Finance, the job holder will be part of a successful team responsible for the Company's business of financing viable investments and maintaining a healthy portfolio in property acquisition, development and improvement of projects.

The Successful applicant will be responsible for the following key result areas:

• Identify and review projects in property development suitable for financing, bearing in mind risk/return parameters set by the Company;
• Negotiate with clients and prepare appraisal reports for consideration by the Company;
• Ensure timely commitment and disbursement of funds to approved projects in line with the Company's policies and procedures;
• Monitoring progress on project implementation mainly financial and operational performance of projects for early identification of potential problems as well as to initiate timely remedial actions;
• Handling communications to ensure repayment of interest, principal and other charges for the project financed portfolio;

The Ideal candidate should possess:

• A degree from a reputable University in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Land/Building Economics, Economics, Finance, Banking or Business Administration.
• At least 3 years experience in project finance in a housing finance, commercial or development banking environment;
• Good knowledge and experience in project appraisal preferably in a banking environment;
• Excellent knowledge and use of MS Office applications;
• Strong analytical skills (emphasis on financial analysis and projections);
• Problem solving skills and
• Excellent communications skills (both written and oral).
• A Masters Degree in any of the above related disciplines will be an added advantage.
