  • Assist in managing all related activities in the implementation of the East African capacity building program.
  • Responsible for monitoring and ensuring the progression of East African capacity building program activities towards meeting the stated objectives.

  • Review and submit timely internal reports on the Eat African capacity building program activities, detailing the progress and achievements.

Job Summary

The job holder will assist in effectively managing, coordinating and administering all the HR functions and policies relating to employees, so as to ensure peaceful industrial Relations and enhanced productivity and undertake any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to Human Resources Manager
  • Implement Human Resource Policy decisions that ensure the KESI maintains best practice.
  • Facilitate identification of suitable staff training programmes, including staff development, on-the-job training, specific courses and job rotation.
  • Assisting in recruitment and deployment of staff through efficient recruitment procedures for all Institutes Vacancies.
  • Implement staff performance assessment procedures and ensure adherence to HR policies and procedures.
  • Administer KESI Medical Scheme, including liaising with insurance companies, Doctors’ e.t.c. on particular cases when required.
  • Processes all staff claims and entitlement in accordance with the current policies.
  • Attend to administration requirements for the HR section including advertisement, procedures, requisitioning for purchase of necessary office stationery and other requirements.
  • Ensure all relevant staff records are updated and maintained and all personal files safeguarded.
  • Provide regular updates to Human Resources Manager on the status of the HR processes and provide timely advice to finance on staff remuneration issues.
  • General information for periodical reports on overall HR status in the Institute.
  • Implement staff disciplinary process.
  • Preparing and maintaining payroll data.
  • Drawing up HRM plans for basic supply and demand forecast.
Qualifications and Competencies
  • Higher National Diploma in Human Resource management or equivalent.
