Pursuant to the provision of the Kilifi County Valuation for Rating Act No. 8 of 2016, section 12, the County Government of Kilifi invites applications from qualified persons for the positions of five (5) members to the Valuation Court.

Chairperson of the Valuation Court

Duties and responsibilities
 
i. Chairing meetings of the Valuation court
 

ii. Hearing and Determinations of all objections lodged against the Draft Valuation Roll
 
iii. Ensuring reports are prepared for submission to the Chief Officer Lands regarding all the objections heard and determined
 
Academic Qualifications and Attributes
 
i. An advocate of the High court of not less than 5 years standing/or magistrate having power to hold a subordinate court of the first class
 
ii. Extensive knowledge on land matters and land sector
 
iii. Experience in assignments similar to this activity
 
iv. Must be a Kenyan citizen
 
v. Satisfies the provisions of chapter six of the constitution

Terms of service: One (1) month renewable contract.
 
Allowances: payable as per the salaries and Remuneration Commission circulars.

Application Criteria
 
All applicants should attach and submit their applications with an updated CV indicating the names and contacts of three (3) referees, a copy of their national identity card, copies of academic and professional certificates, relevant testimonials and the application for employment form (KCPSB 001) which can be downloaded from our website obtained from the Kilifi County Public Service Board Offices.
 
For candidates to meet the requirements of chapter six of the constitution of Kenya, all applicants must obtain the following:
 
i. Tax compliance certificate from Kenya Revenue Authority
 
ii. Clearance certificate from the Higher Education Loans Board
 
iii. Clearance certificate from the Ethics and Anti - Corruption Commission
 
iv. Certificate of Good Conduct
 
v. Clearance from the Credit Reference Bureau
